Alphabet Surpasses $3 Trillion After Court Victory

Investors flocked to Alphabet after a US court blocked a forced sale of its Chrome browser. The ruling ended a nearly five-year antitrust case and protected Google’s core businesses. Shares jumped over 4% in European trading, extending gains of more than 30% since January. Alphabet now joins an elite group of tech giants valued above $3 trillion. Nvidia leads at $4.2 trillion (€3.57tr), followed by Microsoft at $3.8 trillion (€3.23tr), and Apple at $3.5 trillion (€3tr).

Court Allows Google to Keep Chrome and Android

The US Department of Justice had demanded Alphabet sell Chrome and possibly Android amid competition concerns. A federal judge rejected the forced sale but required Alphabet to share certain data with competitors. Google’s search business generates more than half of Alphabet’s revenue, making the decision crucial. The ruling reassured investors, confirming stability for the company’s most profitable assets. Analysts described the verdict as a major win for Alphabet’s long-term growth strategy.

    AI Sales Drive Revenue Growth

Alphabet reported 15% revenue growth in the second quarter, driven by strong demand for artificial intelligence products. AI adoption boosted Google’s cloud services and advertising revenue beyond expectations. The company’s financial results highlight its growing influence in AI and technology innovation. Investors see Alphabet as both resilient and innovative, with strong prospects for continued growth. Market confidence in the company increased following the combination of legal clarity and rising sales.
