Ceasefire Proposal Details
US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff reportedly sent the ceasefire proposal to Hamas on Sunday. The plan offers US advocacy to end Israel’s military operations if Hamas immediately releases all hostages. In return, Israel would free up to 3,000 Palestinian prisoners.
Hostages and Escalating Pressure
Reports indicate 48 hostages remain in Gaza, but only about 20 are believed alive. Trump issued a similar warning in March. His latest message pressures Hamas publicly to respond to a deal that Washington claims could finally end the long-standing conflict.
